50 years ago John Caviston had an idea; this was to cook chickens on Sunday mornings. At the time this was fairly revolutionary and within months over 200 chickens would be snapped up by hungry mass goers every Sunday morning. With this success began the slow evolution of Cavistons from a fish shop to food emporium. Freshly made salads, succulent cold meats, traditional pies and quick & easy meal solutions are all now made in house and of course we still cook chickens. We use the finest natural ingredients, often sourced from local organic farms. Gourmet sandwiches, hearty soups, quality coffees are also available to go from our delicatessen counter. Our shelves are brimming with great artisan Irish products and also many exotic finds from around the globe.
